Ingredients of Japanese Curry

  1. You need of Whole packet Japanese curry mix.
  2. It’s 1 of Potato.
  3. You need 1 of Carrot.
  4. You need 1 of Onion.
  5. It’s 5 of Garlic.
  6. Prepare of Butter.
  7. You need of Chilli flake.
  8. Prepare of Curry powder.
  9. You need of Soy sauce.
  10. Prepare of Curry powder.
  11. You need of Garam masala.
  12. It’s of Shiitake.
  13. It’s of Dashi.
  14. You need 1 l of water.
  15. It’s 1 packet of Beef stock.
  16. You need of Optional (Kakushi aji).
  17. It’s of Tomato paste / ketchup.
  18. You need 80 of % dark chocolate.

Japanese Curry step by step

  1. Boil water with all dashi ingredients for 15 minutes, set aside.
  2. Cut potatoes, onion & carrot into bite sized.
  3. Sear onion with butter, add garlic, then the rest of the vegs.
  4. After all the onions caramelised and the vegs seared, add the dashi. Boil for 30 minutes.
  5. After all the ingredients cooked, add the curry mix, curry powder, chili flake, soy sauce and kakushi aji if wanted. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Serve while hot.
